Emily’s 40th Birthday Party - You’re Invited!

Friday, August 11th + Saturday, August 12th, 2023

Hi friends, I’m turning 40 this summer and would love to celebrate with you! Here’s the plan:

Bug, Pepper, Bodie, and I will be staying at Cypress Creek Cottages in Wimberley, Texas from Thursday, August 10th through Monday, August 14th. The festivities will take place mostly on Friday, August 11th (my actual b-day) and Saturday, August 12th - you are invited to join for any/all of the celebration.

Itinerary:

Friday, August 11th, 2023:

2:00-6:00pm - Swimming at Blue Hole - You must make a reservation (they do sell out!) make sure you are selecting the correct date and time-slot.

6:30-8:00pm - Dinner at The Leaning Pear - Private Dining Room

8:00pm-late - Hang out @ Cypress Creek Cottages Pavilion - Chilling, board games, meteor shower watching.

Saturday, August 12th, 2023:

9am-1pm: Swimming at Blue Hole - You must make a reservation (they do sell out!) make sure you are selecting the correct date and time-slot (we will probably show up a little later than 9am and bring a picnic lunch).

Afternoon: Explore Wimberley, enjoy cold drinks and good company, adventures TBD.

6:00-9:00pm: Emily’s Birthday Dinner at Cypress Creek Cottages Pavilion

9:00pm-late: Hang out @ Cypress Creek Cottages Pavilion - Chilling, board games, meteor shower watching.

Accommodations:

If you would like to spend the weekend with us in Wimberley, make your reservations early. Here’s some places we recommend:

Cypress Creek Cottages - Where Emily and Bug are staying - use code “My Reunion” for a small discount. Each cottage is pet friendly and has a private hot tub (that you can set to be un-heated because August in Texas).

Creekside Cabins - These cabins are next door to Cypress Creek Cottages (where Emily and Bug are staying) and are pet friendly.

Flora and Fauna Hotel - A 1.5 mile/5 minute drive away from Cypress Creek Cottages, a boutique motel with a pool. Pets under 25lbs welcome.

Swimming:

Whether you are coming up for the day or staying the weekend, definitely bring a swim suit. If you want to join us for swimming at Blue Hole (one of my all time favorite places) make sure to buy your tickets in advance (they will sell out!). We have tickets for Friday afternoon (Friday, August 11th during the 2-6pm timeslot) and Saturday morning (Saturday, August 12th during the 9am-1pm timeslot). Wimberley has other swimming holes and there will be opportunities to get soaked in un-heated hot tubs at the Cottages.

No gifts, please

You probably know I’m a weirdo about gifts, and we expect to be asking a lot of our friends later this year when we move back into our house. For this weekend, if you would like to contribute snacks and drinks to share that would be super appreciated. I love you!
