Season's Greetings!
Well, 2021 was a lot more like 2020 than most of us had hoped, and still there was a lot of joy to experience and so much to be grateful for. Here in Texas we started the year with a devastating winter storm that showed us first-hand the consequences of climate change and the resiliency of our community. To all those who joined us in our efforts to support our people, thank you.
Our unbelievably fun adventure for 2021 was one of the biggest expeditions of our individual lives - we leaned into our trust in vaccines and remained very aware of our privilege while we embarked on a two week trip to Kenya to go on safari with Emily’s parents. It was an incredible experience that we’re happy to share with you through photos, stories, safari wisdom, and tips for safer pandemic travel - if any of that is of interest to you, just let us know.
We love you, and hope this correspondence finds you well. We can’t wait to catch up with you in 2022 and beyond. We would love to hear from you, chat, see your faces over Zoom, or even (possibly, dare we say it?) meet up for a pandemic risk-level-informed hang. Don’t hesitate to email Bug at andy@stalick.net or Emily at emily@wildlysupportive.com.
Truly, wildly,
Emily & Bug
P.S. The little lion on the front of our card is Turtle, a magical Devonshire Rex kitty we fostered for a few months at the start of the year before she joined her forever home with our dear friend, Alysha. She was a great snuggle buddy during the cold winter and constantly lorded over Bodie (the giraffe) and Pepper (the elephant).
